PMP Exam – PMP Computer-based testing exam

How to Register for the PMI Exams

The PMP exam validates your knowledge and experience in project management. Before we start off on how to register for the CAPM and PMP exams, let us learn one or two things about the two certifications.

What is CAPM?

CAPM stands for ‘Certified Associate in Project Management ’. It is a global certification for individuals who want to venture into project management but do not have any prior experience.  Rather than validating your project management experience like PMP, it is proof that you have a fundamental understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK).

Having a CAPM certification will distinguish you in the job market and enhance your credibility and effectiveness working on or with project team

What is PMP?

PMP stands for ‘Project Management Professional’. It is a global certification for project management that validates your project management expertise and experience.

The PMP certification is based on the PMBoK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) which is a standard used in managing projects. The PMBoK is drawn from lessons and experiences of thousands of project management professionals around the world. The PMP certification is owned and coordinated by the Project Management Institute (PMI), USA.

PMP as a Project Management certification course is one of the most popular certifications that professionals are interested in gaining around the world. This is clearly reflected in the number of professionals around the world who sit the PMP exam on a yearly basis. The PMP certification is intended for experienced professionals to demonstrate their project management skills. The PMP qualification is not for beginners.

About CAPM and PMP Exam

The CAPM® demonstrates the candidate’s understanding of the fundamental knowledge, terminology, and processes of effective project management.

On the other hand, PMP Exam is that path all prospective project managers must tread in order to become PMP certified. Like every other professional certification, the PMP exam is always conducted to test students’ knowledge on Project Management before they can be regarded as professionals.
