How do I get certified?

The organizations responsible for the ITIL qualifications are AXELOS and PeopleCert. AXELOS owns the ITIL qualification, while PeopleCert coordinates the ITIL  exams and certification. AXELOS and PeopleCert license organizations to conduct the ITIL training and exam. The organizations they accredit are also known as Accredited Training Organisations (ATO). Harrybaker Training is an ATO authorized to conduct both ITIL training and exams.

What is the ITIL® 4 training (classroom) plus exam about?

The ITIL® training plus exam is an instructor-led classroom training after which you will sit the ITIL® exam(s).

To register for the training, locate the training schedule on this page. On the schedule table, look for the training date you will like to attend, then click on “ENROL NOW”. However, your registration is not complete if you do not make payment. You can pay in full or in installments. If you choose to pay in installments, we expect you to complete payment before the training starts.

When is the latest time to make payment?

Can I miss a class?

We do not encourage our delegates to miss classes. However, If due to some unavoidable circumstances you miss a class, we have got you covered. Our trainers will be available to respond to your questions and also put you through the sections you missed, provided you agree a time with the trainer.

When does the training start each day?

The training starts at 8.30 am each day. However, should there be a change, we will let you know in the joining instruction.

When does the training end each day?

The training ends by 5.00 pm each day. However, should there be a change, we will let you know in the joining instruction.

What time shall I arrive the training venue?

To be on a safer side, we advise that you arrive the venue 30 minutes before training starts.

What do I need to bring along to the training venue?

You don’t need to bring anything for the training. We will provide you with training and writing materials such as notepad, pen, printed training slides, etc. In addition, you will get a bag where you can put the training materials and other items.

Where do you hold the training?

Our training is global. However, our physical location is in Lagos. To hold a training session outside Lagos but within Nigeria, we require a minimum of 12 people. If training is outside Nigeria, we will have to agree on how it will work.

Should that be the case, we will definitely require more than 12 people.

Who will be my instructor?

Our instructors have several years of experience as trainers and as professionals. They understand the ITIL framework and how it applies to different organisations. It will interest you to know that the trainer who will be conducting the next ITIL 4 training is an ITIL Expert. You will agree that getting such a trainer is hard.

Is the training enough for me to pass the exam?

Yes it is. We structured our training in a unique way to help you understand the course. As such, the training process is in three phases.

Firstly, we will share with you our pre-course (before the training). The pre-course familiarises you with the definitions, concepts, terminologies used in ITIL® to prepare you adequately for the class.

Secondly, you will attend our instructor-led classroom training which covers entire ITIL® syllabus. During the training, we will give you printed training slides so that you can know where we are at any given point. We cherish “Learning by doing” and we strongly believe in this quote by Benjamin Franklin “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” As such, you will engage in group activities to put what you have learned to practice.

Moreover, our trainers avoid ‘death by PowerPoint’ by making use of flip charts and whiteboard to explain each concept. Also, they are ever-ready to answer your questions that may arise from your industry-specific or organisation-specific scenarios, personal studies using the e-Learning, or what is being taught in class. Again, they can answer your questions because they are knowledgeable and experienced.

However, if after the training you are not comfortable sitting your exam, you can elect to defer it to a later date. All you have to do is to give us a notice of at least three days before your preferred exam date.

Pre-class

Joining instruction: This confirms your registration and provides you with details such as training information, how to join the live training session, what you need to do before the live session, how-to guide, rules and class ethics, etc. This will be sent to you via mail after you are registered for the course.

Pre-course learning and assignment: Understanding ITIL® 4 or passing the exam does not happen by chance. It happens through carefully orchestrated steps on our part and that of the participants. This is why we expect you to have gone through some sort of learning and exercises before turning up in class. The concepts covered are the foundation for the entire course. With this, you can avoid being overwhelmed by what will be covered in the live sessions. This will also enable you to ask questions on the grey areas. In-class
