How do I get certified?

APMG in collaboration with the Change Management Institute licenses training organizations to conduct Change Management training and exam. Harrybaker Training is an Accredited Training Organization for the Change Management qualification. is the organisation responsible for the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner qualification.

What is the Change Management training plus exam about?

The Change Management training plus exam is an instructor-led classroom training after which you will sit the Change Management exam.

How does the training plus exam work for each level?

Typically the Change Management Foundation and Practitioner class last for 5 days altogether.

The Change Management Foundation lasts for the first 3 days after which, on the 4th day, you will sit the Foundation exam.

Change Management Practitioner last for 2 days. The class will start on the 4th day after the Foundation exam then extend to the 5th day. On the 5th day, you will sit the Practitioner exam. However, if you see the need to brush up on your knowledge in Change Management Foundation, you can join the Change Management class from the 1st day.

 

NOTE: If you are not ready to sit the exam at the designated time after the training, you can defer your exam to a later date. However, when you are ready to take the exam, you need to notify us at least three days before your proposed exam date.

Do you guide on exam registration?

We are accredited by APMG to conduct the Change Management training and exam. Therefore, we are responsible for exam booking and registration. In other words, you do not have to worry about the exam registration.  

How often is the Change Management training held?

When does the training start each day?

The training starts at 8.30 am each day. If there is a change, we will inform you in the joining instruction.

When does the training end each day?

The training ends at 5.00 pm each day. If there is a change, we will inform you in the joining instruction.

What time shall I arrive the training venue?

We advise that you arrive the venue at least 30 minutes before training starts.

What do I need to bring along for the training?

You don’t need to bring anything. We will provide training and writing materials such as notepad, pen, printed training slides, etc. In addition, we will give you a bag where you can put the training materials and other items.

Where do you hold the training?

We conduct training globally. However, our physical location is in Lagos. To hold a training session outside Lagos (within Nigeria), we require a minimum of 12 people. To conduct training outside Nigeria, we will have to agree on how it will work. Also, we would definitely require more than 12 people.

How do I register for the training as an individual?

To register for the training, locate the training schedule on this page. On the table, search for the date you will like to attend the training, then click on “enrol now”. Fill in your details, and we will get in contact you. You can as well send us a mail, text message or call us to register for the training.

 

However, your registration is incomplete if you do not pay the training fee. You can pay in full or in installments. If you choose to pay in installments, you are expected to complete payment before the training starts.

How do I register for the training as an organisation?

To register your staff for the training, look for the training schedule on this page. On the date you will like to attend the training, click the “enrol now” button. Fill in your details, and we will get in contact with you. You can as well send us a text message, mail, or call us to register for the training. In addition, you can send a purchase order to confirm that your delegates will be available.

What does the fee cover?

Which global exam does the training and exam fee cover?

The training fee covers the Change Management Foundation and/or Practitioner exam.

Do you give discounts?

Considering how much we charge and what the fee covers (Please, check ‘what does the fee cover?’), our fees are already fully discounted. However, if you have up to 5 people, a discount may apply.

Can I pay for the training in installment?

You can pay in installments. However, you should complete your payment before the start of the class.

When is the latest time to make payment?

Well,  the latest time to make payment is today! Making payment is the only way to secure a space in our next class. Also, we have a class limit, so paying the training fee is the only means to guarantee your space in the next class

What do I get before the training?

Once you make a payment, we will send you a payment confirmation mail to confirm your enrolment for the course. Also, we will send you a copy of the joining instruction which contains every other thing you need to know about the training.

What do I get after the training?

After the training, you will get:

  • > Course completion certificate
  • > Ongoing support

Will I get an official Change Management manual?

Yes. You will get your own copy of the “The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook” when you pay the training fee.

Is the training enough for me to pass the exam?

Yes, it is. We structured our training in a unique way to help you understand the course. Our training is an instructor-led classroom training which covers the Change Management syllabus. During the training, we will give you printed training slides so that you can know where we are at any given point. We cherish “Learning by doing” and we strongly believe in this quote by Benjamin Franklin “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” As a result, during the training, you will engage in group activities to put what you have learned to practice. Moreover, our trainers avoid ‘death by PowerPoint’ by making use of flip charts and whiteboard to explain each concept. Also, they are ever-ready to answer your questions that may arise from your industry-specific or organization-specific scenarios, personal studies, or what is being taught in class. Again, they can answer your questions because they are knowledgeable and experienced.

 

However, if after the training, you still feel the need to write the exam at a later date, you can. All you have to do is to give us a notice of at least three days before your preferred exam date.

Can I miss a class?

We do not encourage our delegates to miss classes. However, If due to some unavoidable circumstances you miss a class, we have got you covered. Our trainers will be available to respond to your questions and also put you through the sections you missed, provided you agree a time with the trainer.

What does exam only option mean?

The exam only option is for those who want to sit the Change Management exam. It does not include classroom training.

How does the exam only option work?

Once payment is made for the exam only, we’ll send you a mail to confirm your payment. After this, you can schedule your Change Management exam.

NOTE: You are required to give us at least three working days notice to enable us to book the exam for you.

What are the levels of the exam?

The exam levels are:

  • > Foundation
  • > Practitioner

How do I register for the exam?

You do not need to worry about the exam registration or booking. We’ll book your exam for you once you make a payment. However, we’ll need up to three days prior notice before the date you want to sit your exam. This is to enable us to book your exam.

Will I get any notification from the exam body?

Yes. Once your exam is booked, you’ll receive a mail from the exam institute. The mail will notify you of your exam booking and the validity period. Also, you will have to create a profile and fill in some details such as full name, date of birth, place of work and address.

Are there prerequisites for taking the exam?

Refer to ‘about the course’ in the Change Management Brochure.

What happens after payment?

Once we have received your payment, we will send you a mail to confirm your payment. Also, we will send you joining instructions with directions to the exam centre.

What does the exam fee cover?

The exam fee covers:

  • > Exam registration
  • > Ongoing support.

How soon can I sit my exam after making payment?

You can sit the exam whenever you choose provided you are well prepared for it. However, we’ll need up to three days advance notice before the date you want to sit your exam. This is to enable us to book your exam.

What are the available exam modes?

Paper-based exam at our office: You can sit a paper-based exam at our office. We advise that you go for this option, as we cannot guarantee the strength of the internet connection in Nigeria.

Online exam at home: The second is the proctored online exam. Here, you can take the exam online at your location, if you cannot come to our office. However, you’ll be paying (N10, 000) extra as a fee for the online invigilator. Once your exam is booked, you have 90 days to take your exam. You must schedule your exam at least 2 hours before the time you intend taking the exam.

How soon will I get my result?

Paper-based exam: After the exam, you will get your Foundation provisional result immediately after your exam. For the Practitioner, you will get your result as soon as we scan and upload it to the exam institute’s exam marking system. This is typically within a day of sitting the exam.

Online-proctored exam: Immediately after the exam, you will get the provisional result.

How soon do I get my certificate from the examination institute?

You will get your certificate within a week from sitting the exam.

What kind of certificate will I get?

You will get an electronic certificate which will be made available on your account with the exam institute.

What do I need to bring with me for the exam?

To sit the exam, you need to bring a valid means of Identification. This includes:

  • > International Passport
  • > Voter’s card
  • > Driver’s License
  • > National I.D card.

We will provide you with writing materials for the exam.
